Nick Dulson needed a lender who shared his vision for a barn conversion scheme near Oswestry on the Welsh borders. One part built, another very derelict and without detailed planning permission and surrounded by land that also needed planning to realise its full value.
...It is the time of year when for many our minds turn to sunnier climes and far distant lands. Whilst perhaps not that far, and not always sunnier, Scotland has been in focus of late, with the success of the Commonwealth games and the forthcoming independence vote, and it has also been so for Relendex as we continue to consider a number of proposals "north of the border", particularly development deals. We will be listing one of these shortly so watch this space!
This brings to mind a point worthy of note regarding our geographic areas of interest, which remain UK-wide and are certainly not just restricted to the south east, as the case is with some lenders. In recent months our travels have taken us to all points of the UK compass - Aberdeen, Cornwall, Cumbria, North and South Wales, Brighton and many in between. The common theme has of course been location quality, rather than post code alone, and this will remain a central tenet for us going forward.
...The answer, my friend is blowing in the wind!
So we've just closed on our first wind turbine funding deal, and which is another great example of the flexibility that exists within Relendex and P2P funding.
...We felt the NACFB Expo at the NEC in Birmingham recently was a resounding success. It was a great opportunity to put faces to the names of some of the brokers we have been building great relationships with and of course also to meet new brokers to enable us to spread the good word of Relendex. The event was very well attended and we were busy throughout the day. Thank you to all who took the time to talk to us and I hope we have been able to respond to your emails and phone calls if we were unable to get to you on the day.
There has been a veritable flood of enquiries since and we are busy working up new proposals so keep an eye on the Coming Soon section on the site. Further testament that the way forward is P2P!
