2017 was a momentous year for us here at Relendex. So we thought it was only fair for us to take a walk down memory lane and see what 2017 brought us.
March – After a lengthy process, it was our turn to join the ranks of those who have received full authorisation from our regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority. It certainly marked a significant milestone for us and set the positive trajectory for the rest of the year. Read more.
April – We attended the annual AltFi Europe Summit, networking and catching up with fellow industry leaders. The main theme of discussion was the competition between high street banks and alternative finance providers. Our CEO summed it up perfectly here.
May – With full authorisation firmly under our belts, Relendex now set our sights on the providing Lenders with an Innovative Finance ISA. We were granted ISA manager status by HMRC in May and launched the tax-wrapper much to the delight of both new and existing lenders. Full post here.
June – By the middle of the year, our Resale Marketplace was shaping up to be a popular and vital offering of the Relendex platform. Over £1million worth of Loan Parts were traded through our secondary market. Read more
July – Joining the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB) as patrons was a natural decision as we continue to build relationships with the wider broker community. Statement from our Loan Director here.
September – This month saw our Resale Marketplace cross the £2million mark (half the time it took to reach £1million).
October – Our first time exhibiting at LendIt Europe, the leading peer-to-peer conference. Michael, our CEO also spoke on a panel with fellow industry leaders on what Proptech is. Some snapshots from the day
December – To cap off 2017, we also filled our largest loan to date. Bridge House Residential Redevelopment Loan with £1,400,000 to redevelop former Victorian merchant's house in Sefton Park, Liverpool.
