Spring
- Usually best time to sell
- Best time for houses that have a garden as it means flowers and trees are out in full-bloom
- Weather generally temperate allowing buyers more time to stay out house hunting
- Summer is also the popular time for renovation works so buyers will need to have their house choice locked down in spring
Summer
- Generally most people go away for summer holidays. This leaves little time or thought for house hunting
Autumn
- Early autumn is still good time to sell as weather is still mild
- Will need to move quickly as any delays may result in your sale only completeing in the New Year
Winter
- Between the frost and Christmas puddings, most will largely go into hibernation
- There could be buyers around in January as people go through the ‘New Year, New Me/Home) phase but don’t hold your breath
